All around the bay area again today, about 300 protesters gathered in fremont tonight, there was a similar scene in Mountain View were Police Stopped traffic to let people march. In the east bay San Leandro High School students organized a peaceful protest in hayward. Another diverse crowd demanding change. We have more on the protest and the message being sent in the suburbs. The police chief and Community Leaders tell me that they are proud of the way this protest turned out, they described it as successful, impactful and organized. This march and protest organized by College Students had a turnout that would make a large city proud, by police estimate 1000 people attended i think this is very historic and important. So some of you have just experienced your own British Occupation, or perhaps liberation and the perspective of many people, this is something, it is our third year in a row doing what we call a flagship living history event, we placed about 70 costume interpreters out on the street of old city philadelphia, and imagine what life was like under british rule. One of the big agendas of this event is to present the fall of 1777 in a complicated way. To show that for many of the people who remain in the city that winter, this was an occupation, but maybe it was a liberation from many in their perspective.
