Tata Power and the Government of Maharashtra have signed an MoU to build two large Pumped Hydro Storage Projects with a capacity of 2800 MW. This initiative is expected to generate employment for over 6,000 people. Projects will be situated at Shirawta, Pune (1800 MW) and Bhivpuri, Raigad (1000 MW) districts.
Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis and CEO of Tata Power, Praveer Sinha attended the signing ceremony which was held in the Mantralaya in Mumbai.
