It’s the home town of sisters Vikki Thorn and Donna Simpson, two-thirds of folk-rock trio the Waifs.
Thorn describes her childhood as idyllic. “That was because of the topography of the place,” she says. “It’s very accessible to a lot of beautiful places.” Thorn married an American and usually lives in the US, but during the pandemic she chose to bunker down in her hometown.

Travellers will get a glimpse of Western Australia s agricultural past on a new tourism drive that aims to attract more visitors to the state s south.

The GNP 360 co-op came up with the idea to capitalise on increased domestic tourism
The tractors are named for local enthusiasts and donors
Vintage tractors can be seen on the Horsepower Highway along the Broomehill-Gnowangerup Road leading to the Stirling Range National Park in the Great Southern.
