The Senate Committee on Public Accounts is upset by the alleged secret withdrawal of N7.5 billion from the National Automotive Council Design and Development Council (NADDC) Levy Account domiciled with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
It, therefore, gave the Ministry of Finance, Office of Accountant General of the Federation and Office of National Security Adviser till next Tuesday to offer explanation.
The action of the Senate committee was based on the query by the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation (OAuGF) in 2015.
Two weeks ago, the committee had summoned the affected agencies to appear before it to explain the alleged secret withdrawal, but they did not honour the invitation.

The federal government has adopted a National Diaspora Policy for Nigeria.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, confirmed this during a chat with reporters after the cabinet meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Onyeama noted that the policy was formulated by the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).
The minister said it would formalise the relationship between the government and nationals abroad.
“There are 17 or more million Nigerians in the diaspora and they constitute a very important part of the Nigerian community.”
Onyeama added that the policy aims to promote national development through engagement with the Nigerians overseas.
He further explained that the scheme would address voting by citizens who reside outside Nigeria and the deployment of their skills in different sectors.
