Reporter and the activists lobbying facebook for this change said just this morning that facebook apologized to them and committed to changing its controversial policy requiring users to use their real names. This was an effort led in large part by a drag queen whose name is michael williams. I havent identified by that name in over 27 years. Reporter she is known as sister roma but last month she was locked out of her facebook account as were many of the friends and told to log in with their legal name. Its part of the terms and conditions which Facebook Says helps keep the Community Safe by Holding People accountable. They picked on the wrong group of people. Kpix5. A suspected burglar is dead after tangling with police. Officers were called out to willow place this afternoon to investigate a report of a suspicious person. Kpix5 is there with what happened next. Len. This is not a part of the bay area that sees a lot of violent crime. Were on willow road right next to the sunset magazine offices and the shooting happened about a block and a half from here on willow place. Menlo park investigators and crime scene techs are on the scene here tonight. So willow road remains closed while officers process the scene. The shooting happened at 12 30 this afternoon. The call came in from a Small Business of a suspicious male in the area. Police say three officers responded and found a burglary in progress. They confronted the man who started running. Police officers ran after him, one fired a taser at him, but it missed or had no effect at the time. Officers did not know that the man was armed. From what we understand, this was the first time the gas had been turned on in this one particular building since the quake. And the two maintenance workers who were injured may have been trying to light a pilot light at the time of the explosion. We got reports that this building was unoccupied since the earthquake and they were taking measures to reoccupy this building so it could have something to do with that. Its still under investigation at this time. Reporter we do know the explosion happened at about 8 20 a. M. There was no fire or smoke but a hot flash that burned the workers skin and clothes, bowed walls and flipped desks. The damage was isolated to a part of the building that was unused since the quake.
