People in North Lincolnshire have been thanked for sticking to the rules as Covid infection rates in the area fall.
The infection rate in North Lincolnshire has fallen from 81.8 per 100,000 at the end of April to just 25 today – a fall of almost 70 per cent.
Steve Pintus, the Northern Lincolnshire Director of Public Health, said: “When infection rates were relatively high, we asked people to remain cautious. The latest figures show that people have acted responsibly even with restrictions being relaxed.

New measures are being put in place so residents can vote safely on May 6 in the North Lincolnshire Council elections.
All polling stations will have hand sanitiser available, extra signs will be in place to help with social distancing, and people are being asked to bring their own pen or pencil and wear a mask while in the polling stations.
There are by-elections to elect North Lincolnshire councillors in Ashby, Bottesford, Broughton and Appleby wards.
