Trenton councilwoman asks AG to keep Trenton cop who lied in warrant from getting job back

TRENTON — A Trenton cop who repeatedly lied on a search warrant in a federal case will return to the force after serving a six-month suspension, records show. A hearing officer sustained 16 of the 17 charges against Detective Sgt. David Ordille following an administrative proceeding several months ago. The charges ranged from misconduct to conduct unbecoming a police officer. - Advertisement - A federal judge previously chastised Ordille for “affirmative acts of deliberative deception” in a search-warrant application that went before Superior Court Judge Thomas Brown in September 2018. The outcome of the disciplinary case has turned into quite the political Ordille with a city legislator asking the state Attorney General’s Office to intervene by shutting down the return of the troubled cop, who has been suspended without pay since May.
