TRENTON â A Trenton cop who repeatedly lied on a search warrant in a federal case will return to the force after serving a six-month suspension, records show.
A hearing officer sustained 16 of the 17 charges against Detective Sgt. David Ordille following an administrative proceeding several months ago.
The charges ranged from misconduct to conduct unbecoming a police officer.

A federal judge previously chastised Ordille for âaffirmative acts of deliberative deceptionâ in a search-warrant application that went before Superior Court Judge Thomas Brown in September 2018.
The outcome of the disciplinary case has turned into quite the political Ordille with a city legislator asking the state Attorney Generalâs Office to intervene by shutting down the return of the troubled cop, who has been suspended without pay since May.
