CLASSIC cop drama The Bill is set for a return with three original cast on the beat again.
Two new series are lined up after writers acquired the original rights to the hit police show.

Actors Graham Cole, Trudie Goodwin and Mark Wingett, who starred in the original drama, are in talks with the team behind the comeback.
The Bill is reportedly set for a comeback, with three of the hit show s biggest stars interested in making a return, more than a decade after the series ended.
It is understood that Graham Cole, Trudie Goodwin and Mark Wingett have been approached by writer Simon Sansome who has allegedly acquired the rights.
A source has also claimed that the idea for a reboot, thought to be named Sun Hill after the station where the series was based, really kicked off after the original cast reconnected in 2020.

LA GRANDE â The La Grande City Council is set to discuss a wide array of pressing issues, from potentially raising ambulance fees or implementing a new gas tax to addressing housing issues and upgrading wildfire emergency plans during its annual retreat Tuesday, Jan. 26.
There are 11 items on the councilâs wide-ranging agenda, several of which relate to funding issues. During the meeting, the council plans to discuss and establish budget priorities for the coming year.
Major issues include on the retreat agenda include the possibility of raising ambulance fee rates, which have not been raised for several years and do not cover ambulance service costs, addressing concerns over street conditions and the need for a larger facility for the La Grande Police Department and Union County Sheriffâs Office.
Three Malahide sisters got their feet wet for charity on Portmarnock beach recently when they embarked on the Seven Dips of Kindness in aid of the Stephen Clements Foundation.
Twenty-five-year-old Shaneane Donohoe, along with sisters Darcie (17) and Charlie (14) took to the sea on December 17 for a seven-day swim to raise funds for the charity, which honours the memory of legendary Northern Ireland broadcaster, Stephen Clements, who died tragically last year.
