Readers comments: Indian democracy is facing challenges, but the Opposition is nowhere to be seen

– Edward Rex Pandemic woes What this article has shown is only the tip of the iceberg (No pensions for five months: How Jharkhand’s poor were left poorer during the pandemic). More such cases need to come to light. The culprits should be held accountable, be it the state government or the Centre. – Joel Urumpil I do not fully agree with this article (A stark class divide is emerging in India’s Covid-19 vaccination drive). Yes, a technological divide is definitely there in the Covid-19 vaccination programme, which we must bridge at a fast pace. Speak Greek in March and savour Hellenism all year around

Why should I speak Greek in March? What’s so special about speaking Greek? What’s the purpose of speaking Greek in March? How can a little campaign initiated in 2015 by the Melbourne-based “Speak Greek in March” committee preserve the Greek language outside Greece? What a load of malarkey. I don’t need to speak Greek in March. I’ve done many things this month without so much as a ‘Γεια σου’ or a Greek “hello”. Saturday, 6 Mach, 6.30pm I go to my Greek best friend’s engagement and I don’t need to utter a word of Greek. It’s a big crowd and my friend’s uncles are at the party. I haven’t seen them for 40 years. I greet them.
