Called Sova Hotel, it ll go into a three-story structure at 2105 Commerce St., where it will open in May. Sova which means sleep in Swedish is from Blake and Brandon Shirk, 27-year-old twin brothers with an entrepreneurial bent who ve created an intensely personal concept inspired by their international travels. The brothers have a passion for traveling, but also wanted to incorporate saving money. Noticing a gap for this market, they decided to do their own, creating high-end minimalist rooms combined with inviting public spaces.
