Among the projects approved are automaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor's plan to invest over Rs 3,600 crore to produce hybrid vehicles along with traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles at its facility here.
In an effort to allot land in real quick time to industrialists who come forward to set up industries, the industries will acquire over 50,000 acres of land across the state, Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani said on Saturday.
Keeping up the industrial growth momentum, the Karnataka government has approved 60 industrial projects worth Rs 2,465.94 crore that would generate jobs for over 8,575 people in the state, an official statement stated on Sunday.
