David Ambrosio's Civil Disobedience: Blue Note Records in the Progressive '60s Civil Disobedience is a project led by New York bassist David Ambrosio, featuring the work of progressive jazz composers of the late 60's Blue Note Era such as Bobby Hutcherson, Jackie McLean, Stanley Cowell, Howard Land, Joe, Chambers, and James Spaulding. Though it was created during a time of sweeping social change and civil unrest, much of this music went unreleased for decades. Fifty years later, our own troubled times give this important body of work a new sense of relevancy and urgency.Tickets are $20 General Admission and $15 Student/Senior. Doors open at approximately 7:15 p.m.
