Today is the deadline for payment of the first installment of Wayne County Real Estate Taxes. Taxes can be paid today in person at the office of Wayne County Treasurer Donna Masterson between the hours 8am and 4pm. Office hours are 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. A Mayor will be elected for a two-year term to fill the unexpired term of Mayor Dreith and one alderman from each of the City's four wards will be elected for a four-year term. 41-year-old Georgetown, Ohio, resident Brian D. Jones was killed in a single vehicle crash Monday afternoon at milepost 103 on Interstate 64 near Wayne County. According to Illinois State Police, at approximately 5:15, Jones was westbound in a construction zone when he struck a concrete bridge barrier multiple times. He left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned.
