St. Viator High School President the Rev. Dan Lydon announced this week he will step down at the end of the school year, wrapping up a three-year stint that marked a return to clerical leadership at the Arlington Heights Catholic school.
The former St. Viator High School counselor and basketball coach convicted of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for sending an inappropriate text message to a 16-year-old female student was sentenced Wednesday to 12 months probation, 30 days home confinement, a $1,000 fine and court costs.

Each summer, Saint Viator High School hosts a Service & Song Camp for current and prospective students. The weeklong experience focuses on service to others, one of the core values at the Arlington Heights school.
