Embracer Group, the parent company and owner of companies such as THQ Nordic, Gearbox Software, Deep Silver, and many more more has announced that they have entered into an agreement with Square Enix to acquire Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, and Square Enix Montréal. This acquisition includes a “catalogue of IPs including Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain and more than 50 back-catalogue games from Square Enix.” In total the acquisition will bring roughly 1,100 employees across the studios in eight global locations under Embracer Group’s name and the total purchase price has been listed at 300 million USD.
