The opportunity to catch up with old friends and share a meal will be missed this year, as the 46th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast goes virtual because of the pandemic.
The Springfield Frontiers International Club is putting finishing touches on this year’s unique version of the longstanding event, which will be televised locally on Access Channel 4, Government Channel 18, and broadcast on the City of Springfield’s YouTube page beginning at 10 a.m. on January 18.
Rev. Dr. Melvin Charles Smith the pastor of the Mt. Moriah-East Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee is the keynote speaker for this year s pre-recorded gathering.
