MACC trustees approve support toward wind technology program

Approving purchases of equipment to support a new Wind Technology program highlighted business matters conducted by Moberly Area Community College Board of Trustees at its May 24 meeting.
As a result of receiving a Community Development Block Grant last September for a Workforce Training Initiative to establish a full mechanical electronics lab and wind technician certificate program to the college s Kirksville campus, MACC trustees gave their blessing for three pieces of equipment totaling about $202,000 be purchased to help support that program.
College students who enroll with this new program that begins next fall may have the opportunity to learn more about the subject in person as Adair County area recently had 175 wind turbines owned by Ameren Missouri go online, which happens to be the largest wind farm operation in the state. LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Canceled last year, the Spring Art Walk returned Saturday. Artists, musicians, vendors, and performers alike came out to showcase their work.
Artist Morgan Allain explains she was excited to see her customers in person.
