When quarterback Tom Brady was acquired by the Buccaneers last offseason, Tampa Bay was an intriguing destination for many veteran players. The additions of players like Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown proved that to be the case.
But in the background, Brady recruited, or simply talked to, many players to join him in Tampa Bay. Running back Marshawn Lynch was another.
Talking to Sports Nation on ESPN, Lynch revealed he spoke to the future Hall of Fame quarterback of potentially signing with the Bucs.
The former Raider and Seahawk rusher hinted at his career being done. Tampa Bay obviously acquired LeSean McCoy and Leonard Fournette, where Fournette became one of the main focal points in the Buccaneers offense even earning a second contract from the team.

Marshawn Lynch said he spoke with multiple teams about another NFL comeback last year. The Bucs were one of them. Lynch said, during a Sports Nation appearance on ESPN+ (via JoeBucsFan.com), he spoke with the Bucs about continuing his career. Lynch indicated he and Brady discussed a possible Bucs agreement.
Lynch did not play last season, and it does not sound like the All-Decade running back will continue his career. Although the Seahawks signed him late in the 2019 season, Lynch said he is not currently in condition to come back to the NFL.
