Every state in Nigeria deserves paramedics – Neurological surgeon

Friday Olokor, Abuja A Neurological Surgeon and Medical Director, Brain and Spine Surgery Limited, Dr. Biodun Ogungbo, has expressed concern over the lack of paramedics in different hospitals in the country. He, therefore, demanded an urgent need for paramedics and the establishment of Emergency Medical Services in all the states of the federation to facilitate and complement the work of the National Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Road Safety Corps. The medical expert also regretted that in Nigeria, many hospitals have just ambulance drivers and had to always rely on other members of the healthcare team especially Nurses to render emergency care.
