Streets. [ screaming ] reporter dramatic video of an entire building imploding after a 7. 1 magnitude earthquake jolted mexico city and its surrounding areas. [ sirens ] reporter at large forced thousands to flee nearby buildings only to watch streetlights sway overhead. Can you believe that . An incredible scene in san rafael this morning of a home being destroyed by a massive landslide. A Police Officer took this video of the house on Mountain View avenue. The twostory house was inundated by a wall of mud that tore right through the walls, snapped support beams and as you can see wrecked the foundation. The family inside heard the commotion, all ran out. The homeowner says everyone did get out safely and is okay. He said seeing the house where he was born destroyed is tough to handle. I tell my wife and son, weve got to get out of the house. Right then there was a slide that came in over our upper patio and hit the window into our kitchen, coming down into the house. You can see guerneville road and Petaluma Hill road, some wetness developing there and its up in the north bay where were seeing the yellows but notice the yellows are offshore heading towards the north bay. Nearby the lexington reservoir is beyond capacity at 104 after the latest round of heavy rain in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The water thats been overflowing since yesterday has spread on to highway 17 and forced some detours. And state water officials now think they can avoid using an emergency spillway at lake oroville. Just this week, the main spillway partially collapsed. Environmentalists are scrambling. They are trying to save baby salmon from a hatchery buried by mud and concrete.
