With interest rates so low and advantageous bond markets, the Neshaminy School District announced that now may be the time to do some district improvements, including possibly constructing a new school.
Neshaminy is considering either major renovations to the Pearl S. Buck Elementary School on Top Road in the Levittown section of Middletown or replacing it with a new elementary school on the grounds of the Maple Point Middle School at Woodbourne and Langhorne-Yardley roads.
The district also is considering renovations to the athletic field and other outdoor facilities at Neshaminy High School and bundling other district-wide improvements for building roofs, parking lots and HVAC equipment.
