Because the bids are more than 8% over the initial maximum costs Neshaminy officials presented at the first hearing back in December 2021, the hearings must be held again under Pennsylvania Act 34 of…
Neshaminy School District’s residents and taxpayers heard about the $43 million Maple Point elementary school project at an Act 34 public hearing earlier this month.
With interest rates so low and advantageous bond markets, the Neshaminy School District announced that now may be the time to do some district improvements, including possibly constructing a new school.
Neshaminy is considering either major renovations to the Pearl S. Buck Elementary School on Top Road in the Levittown section of Middletown or replacing it with a new elementary school on the grounds of the Maple Point Middle School at Woodbourne and Langhorne-Yardley roads.
The district also is considering renovations to the athletic field and other outdoor facilities at Neshaminy High School and bundling other district-wide improvements for building roofs, parking lots and HVAC equipment.
