the problem with that, you can t debate the amendments, therefore it s not going to have much traction with the american people. if you put tort reform in as the amendment you don t have any time to talk about it. you re just going to vote up or down. now, what the parliamentarian can do because reconciliation has certain rules you limit debate to 20 hours. but you can only put in this al put in this reconciliation package things that have physical or money or taxes or spending implications. so you could start stripping out policy, but that s kind of the good stuff, the preexisting illness, insurance reforms, so i don t see that happening. i think we ll have a messy process up there. the reconciliation will package probably exactly the way it did in the house. ultimately the bill will be signed towards the end of the week or the weekend. if you were a minority leader at this moment i don t know if you wish you were there or not what would your tactic be? would you want to offer
