Tuesday morning, the Spencer Chamber Ambassadors were invited to witness Natasha and Andrew Mohror, owners of BlackEarth Java, in Spencer, present a $1,817 check to Spencer Community Schools speech department. During the State Large Group Speech Contest in February, hosted by Spencer High School, BlackEarth Java sold their signature lotus drinks and donated 40% of their profits back to the Speech Department.

The Spencer Chamber Ambassadors visited Spencer City Hall on Tuesday to welcome Traci Genson, the new city finance director. Genson has worked with the city for a year-and-a-half and stepped into this role after Brian Weuve's departure.
