Peter J. Li was named president of Schaumburg-based Hunter Foundry Machinery Corporation. Li is the third president of the corporation, which is a leader in matchplate molding and sand casting technology.
An electric race car made history earlier this month after it received a battery swap during a pit stop. The swap itself took two minutes to accomplish, and it happened during a known sanctioned race (NASA rules). We are referring to the 25 Hours of Thunderhill event, which was shortened by fog to just over 17 hours of racing.

I am excited to get back into amateur track days, especially events run by , a group of automotive enthusiasts from the design, construction, and real estate community in the Washington DC area. This group originally started holding sailboat races in the Chesapeake bay to raise money for the which is an amazing charity that provides scholarships and other programs for first-generation college students. About 15 years ago, the organizers noticed that there were lots of car people in the group and decided to put together bi-annual track day meetups at Summit Point Motorsports Park.
The event is designed for people of all skill levels to drive and explore the limits of their own vehicles with licensed instructors and in a controlled setting and since most people know each other from work, it is a very fun and festive event. Rose Cup races will return in July March 16 2021
The return of the annual race series is one of the first local sports events to come back.
Following an unprecedented one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Portland s Friends of PIR have announced that the city s signature auto racing event will return this summer to celebrate 60 years of competition.
The organization said the 2021 Rose Cup Races will take place July 9 to 11 at Portland International Raceway. According to the announcement, auto enthusiasts and their friends and family will enjoy seven different race groups including a return of Go-Karts as well as special salutes to the cars, drivers and stories compiled since 1961.
