Acer unveils Spatial Labs
Acer has announced Spatial Labs aimed at giving the virtual world a more physical dimension by delivering stereoscopic 3D experiences in a new way.
Content literally floats in front of the screen, allowing creators to examine their creations in real-time and 360 degrees without the need for specialized glasses.
Acer also announced the SpatialLabs Developer Program for Unreal Engine developers interested in presenting projects with SpatialLabs.
Those enrolled in the program will receive a ConceptD SpatialLabs prototype notebook, the first realization of the new experience.
The SpatialLabs experience is created through the combination of an eye-tracking capability, a stereoscopic 3D display and real-time rendering technologies.
The yearly event showcases what's next for the Taiwanese company's Predator gaming line, Concept D PCs for creatives and a new sustainably sourced Aspire Vero.
