Peoria landmark Milt the MG gets bashed in hit-and-run wreck

PEORIA Milt the MG is probably the least likely vehicle in Peoria to be involved in a car wreck. The old coupe has become a modern landmark at the high-traffic intersection of Southwest Adams Street and North MacArthur Highway. It s part of the funky exterior art exhibit at C.T. Gabbert Remodeling & Construction, sporting ever-changing designs and colors, along with flowers from its trunk during warmer months. As a stationary object whose wheels never hit the road anymore, Milt wouldn t seem to be a collision risk. Yet overnight Sunday, the car got bashed in a hit-and-run. The good news: Of the two cars in the wreck, Milt probably won.
