Frances William Beckett died at the age of 90 on January 6.
At his funeral service on January 14 work colleagues spoke of their admiration and regard for Frank.
In delivering the eulogy, Terry Hynes said it was real pleasure talk about an old friend and colleague, a vet he had worked with for more than 20 years and had known for over 50 years.

The Poli Payments FEI World Cup Qualifier round at the MetalForm Central and Southern Hawke s Bay Showjumping Championships has been won by Taupo teen Annabel Francis.
The 18-year-old added another solid win to her tally with the victory on her bay mare La Quinara and is currently third in the FEI World Cup leader board - behind Tegan Fitzimon and Waipukurau s Brooke Edgecombe.

With just one horse each to compete, New Zealand dressage rider Sharon and her Olympian athlete daughter, Kallista Field, are enjoying the slower pace of life at their Pahiatua (Southern Hawke’s Bay) yard these days. They certainly don’t miss the long days and hard work that accompanied standing their imported stallion Salutation and keeping a full team of competition and schooling horses in work. “It’s more enjoyable now than ten or twenty years ago” says Sharon. “Now if we miss a day and go shopping, it doesn’t matter!”
