From an early age, Koyren Campbell had an affinity with the outdoors. From an early age he had an affinity for tramping, hunting and fishing. At 16 he began training on an outdoor adventure course. Koyren was well-prepared and knew what he was doing, Darren said. “He’d been out with his friend [before he went missing] and the first thing he told him to do was put on his life jacket.”

The employer of missing kayaker Koyren Campbell continues to scour the coastlines for him, and will take his search to the South Island if necessary.
David Downer, from Wellington, is the owner D-Fluff Insulation, and Campbell s boss.
Campbell was first reported missing on January 17, after his kayak was found floating in the water at Tarakena Bay on Wellington s south coast with freshly caught fish inside.
The search was suspended two weeks ago, with police saying they believed Campbell was no longer alive.
