The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was on trial charged with attempted murder following the incident in October 2020. A jury was unable to reach a verdict but the boy will now be sentenced after he pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to causing grievious bodily harm and possession of a bladed weapon. The incident in Barnfield Road left a 56-year-old man with two stab wounds following a fight.
