The attorney noted that Jermone Halsey who has a FOID card and a concealed carry license told Chicago police at the hospital afterward that he feared for his safety when the officers boxed him in an alley. To Halsey, it was “just an SUV of three people … following him into an alley, getting out of their car with weapons drawn.”
A man suspected of shooting and seriously wounding a Chicago Police officer during an attempted traffic stop in the city’s Englewood neighborhood Sunday has.
He faces two counts of attempted murder after allegedly opening fire on officers during a traffic stop in the 6900 block of South Sangamon Street, police said.
