Big news coming out of Walker today as Walker Police Chief Greg Long announced that he ll be retiring from the force effective August 1, 2021.
Chief Long spoke to Fox 17 of his retirement and that he has a lot of faith in the direction of the Walker Police Department for the future and spoke very highly of the staff that s currently in place saying that his staff is the most talented, dedicated, and compassionate staff any leader could ask for. While there have been many highs and lows, good times and bad times, along with challenging times, I will always treasure the reward of being part of an organization that believes in, and demonstrates, the highest level of integrity in all interactions, along with being a part of what I believe is the most noble of professions.
