The 2021 Kia Sorento X-Line, Alderson Dealership, & Chip Shortage
Thursday on
KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about several auto industry topics including his test drive of the week, the fate of the Alderson dealership and their new owners, rent car shortages, people s favorite car colors, what Ford is doing during the chip shortage, and more.
This week the Car Pro was test driving the 2021 Kia Sorento X-Line, a car that he couldn t help but compare to the Kia Telluride. Reynolds explained that the Kia Telluride has been the hottest SUV on the market for 2 years, and that he has never seen a car come out of the gate selling as much as it did, and then continue to do so. Jerry suspects that what Kia did was take the Telluride and make a version for people who don t need quite as much room. This new model takes the great attributes of the Telluride, minus the large amount of room in the 3rd row seat and cargo

Kia Goes Bold With 2021 Sorento SX Prestige X-Line
When the new Kia Sorento X-Line SUV was delivered I looked at it and thought, “Oh well, another midsize SUV.”
My impression went from “ho hum” to WOW after going for a drive. This was not your typical SUV. It had great pep, superb handling, and was a vehicle I came to love by the end of my week with it.
The 2021 Sorento SX-Prestige X-Line is the top trim offered in the model, but it only tops out at around $43,000 MSRP (and you know your friends at Moritz Kia can do better than that). Of course if you don’t want or need all the bells & whistles, the Sorento is available in five trims: The LX, S, EX, SX, and SX-Prestige and available with either FWD or AWD.
2021 Kia Sorento Overview

The Sorento has been a part of the Kia lineup since 2002 when it debuted at the Chicago Auto Show. Over the years, the SUV has changed with the times but hadn’t seen a major refresh since its third generation was introduced in 2014. But for the 2021 model year, the Sorento is completely redesigned, featuring a stylish, modern exterior and setting a new benchmark for Kia.
What’s new for the 2021 Kia Sorento?
Introduced as an all-new model, the Sorento has a long list of new features to be excited about inside and out (and under the hood). The Sorento still has five trims to choose from, but their names have changed slightly. The 2021 Kia Sorento will be offered as: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige (removing the L trim and adding SX Prestige).

The 2021 Kia Sorento Has So Many Changes Only The Name Has Remained The Same
The fourth generation 2021 Kia Sorento has arrived at a higher price than the previous generation, but the extent of transformation is huge. The 2021 Kia Sorento has a completely redesigned design, a new platform, two new mechanics, a stiffened structure, and a completely revised cabin. In short, only the name has remained the same.

At Torque News we love the old-generation Kia Sorento (2016-2020) for all of its qualities. It has proven its reliability, offers excellent performance and enjoys a good reputation. The pressure is very strong for this fourth generation. Will she be able to seduce us?
