Lately, I have been thinking a lot about the name of our school,
Sonrise Christian Academy. It is the small Christian school located on Johnson Street, right across the road from PECI. The school was founded upon a verse found in Matthew:
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
Anytime I think about the group of people who came together to get Sonrise started, I am honestly moved to tears. I wish I could have witnessed that time and the deep conviction that they had to start a Christian school in the County.
