So you can see that coming out of the civic that were tracking in minutes heading our direction futurecast for going to show us exactly when the rain is going to be a with us as we advance the map here right around 6 oclock. This morning were going to to the far north of us so folks in santa rosa and kai are going to start to see some of that rainfall but then look at that heavy line of showers and were going to be seeing pockets of quite heavy at times thats the yellow and orange coloring on your screen and its covering much of the north bay by the 9 oclock hour. Looks like more widespread across the north bay by 9. Folks should be getting it even in San Francisco by 9 oclock. Then by 10 oclock it looks like parts of the east bay will be getting in and then the north is going to be covered with some maybe some moderate to heavy showers pockets of those showers with a yellow in the orange coloring on your screen and then by lunchtime its going to be even more widespread before getting through the entire bay area into the afternoon and then tonight were going to see it stick around right around 5 its going to lighten up a little bit in the north bay but were going to see it pretty heavy along the east bay and our south bay let you know how long this rain is going to last and the wind speeds at one tracking. Skies right over San Francisco. You can see out to the bay bridge that hurts our no cloud cover no fog evident out there. What we are seeing across the region though is the sliding cold front that is moving its way to our north so all things are quiet here in the bay but lets zoom out across the region and look at what we have to our north that there that you see right along the oregon border is some rain snow mix mostly isolated to areas like modoc county and then some rain up in del norte and humboldt counties but if youre traveling i 5 up to the oregon border at some point today, especially north of redding getting closer and closer to that border itself watch out for some slick conditions.
