SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Clerk will conduct a ballot drawing via livestream on Friday, April 16, at 3 p.m., for the June 8th Primary Election.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ballot drawing was usually open to the public and held in the County Clerk’s Office, but this year residents can watch the ballot drawing in real-time at http://bit.ly/BallotDrawing2021.
After the live event, a video of the drawing will be available on the County Clerk’s webpage for interested parties to watch at their convenience. To view the recording of the ballot drawing following its completion, visit http://bit.ly/BallotDrawingVideo.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University is taking steps to acknowledge its connection to slavery and racial injustice with the creation of four additional historical markers that tell the story of its early benefactors whose families made their fortunes through the slave economy.
Two of the four markers have a direct link to 18th-century Somerville.
