New Delhi: The seventh batch of the MBA program and the first batches of the MBA Human Resources and MBA Business Analytics programs were inaugurated on July 10, 2021, in the presence of Shri Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, BoG of IIM Amritsar, Prof. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director IIM Amritsar, Prof. Pavneet Singh, Chairperson Admissions and Prof. Pankaj Gupta, Chairperson MBA.
Batch Demographics
The seventh batch of MBA and pioneer batches of MBA Human Resources and MBA Analytics comprise 274 students altogether. The success of an MBA program depends on the diversity it provides. Against this backdrop, the new batch presents a rich blend of students with work experience and freshers, with 58 per cent of the new batch having industry experience. New Delhi, March 9 : If you saw an act of violence being committed against a woman in a public space, would you step up and intervene? As per data from a recent report by Breakthrough India, 55.3 per cent have observed the discomfort of the woman/girl facing violence, and almost as many have intervened in an incident of violence against women in a public space. Chandigarh, March 8 : Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Monday launched the Department of School Education s partnership with Breakthrough and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) South Asia to integrate a gender sensitisation curriculum for government schools.
The curriculum, Taaron Ki Toli (TKT), is for students between the age of 10 and 14 years.
Breakthrough s curriculum was first introduced into schools in Haryana in 2012 and in an evaluation by J-PAL South Asia it helped significantly improving gender attitudes and behaviours.
Study finds over 78 per cent respondents have faced violence in public places
Most participants, particularly women, identified violence as a broad term, consisting of physical, mental, verbal, and sexual abuse.

NEW DELHI: A study on bystander behaviour has revealed that 38.5 per cent of them didn t intervene during violence in public spaces because they did not know what to do.
According to the study Decoding Bystander Behaviour: Actions to Address Violence Against Women 78.4 per cent of the respondents said that they had faced violence in public spaces.
The study by Breakthrough with support from Uber India and IKEA Foundation was conducted in Jharkhand (Hazaribagh district), Bihar (Gaya district), Haryana (Jhajjar district), Delhi, Maharashtra (Mumbai), Telangana (Hyderabad) and Kolkata, covering over 721 respondents through digital survey and 91 in-depth interviews.
