So Many Americans are now being killed by the virus, four people have died just since this broadcast began. Thats a rate of one life lost every 30 seconds. As we come on the air tonight, more than 100,000 people are now in the hospital with coronavirus, pushing the countrys Healthcare System to the brink. Californias governor says i. C. U. Beds are filling up so fast there, he may soon have to shut down much of his state, ordering people to stay at home to try to stop the virus from spreading any faster. Tracking the winds picking up. Up in the mountains, when discussing up to more than 60 Miles Per Hour and it is windy for many locations this morning. A red flag warning is in effect for most of the bay area until 5 00 p. M. All the airlines highlighted in red. Higher elevations with gusts up to 60 Miles Per Hour. Our valleys and coasts up to 40 Miles Per Hour wind gusts. The wind advisory for most of the bay area until 11 00 a. M. So watch out for flying debris, broken blanches and the possibility of power outages. You can see how strong the winds are, the camera really shaking in the wind this morning. Record high temperatures as we head to the afternoon. Low 70s around the bay and low to mid 70s inland this afternoon. We will talk more and show you about the winds as we take you through the day. Low relative humidity values coming up. It is definitely a windy start. If you are taking the bay bridge this morning, heads up. Would advisory was issued by chp.
