SOAP LAKE – Two years removed from playing in the Central Washington B district championship game, the Soap Lake Eagles returned their entire roster from a year ago in hopes of making another playoff run this winter.
COLUMBIA BASIN The 1B and 2B state volleyball tournaments begin Thursday in Yakima, with Almira/Coulee-Hartline, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague, Soap Lake and Warden all competing in their respective classifications. Read along for a look at each team as they head into state competition.

Back at state for the first time since 2019, the Warriors are aiming for yet another high finish after finishing the regular season and districts with a 17-2 record, earning a No. 4 seed.
MOSES LAKE The Moses Lake Christian Academy-Covenant Christian School Lions football team pushed their record to 3-0 with a 44-30 win over the Soap Lake Eagles Saturday at Lions Field.
It was the third game ever for MLCA/CCS, and Coach Aaron Noble said his team met and overcame some challenges Saturday night.
