NEWTOWN, PA Sleeping Bucks County residents hoping for a foot of snow in their backyard when they woke up Thursday morning were disappointed.
The first winter storm of the season brought about 5.7 inches of snow to the Newtown area, according to the National Weather Service. Yardley recorded 4.8 inches. More than 8 inches fell farther north in places like Quakertown and Sellersville, while Buckingham Township only reported 3 inches.
While Wednesday s Nor easter may have fallen short of expectations, it has kept snow removal vehicles busy across Pennsylvania.
