we have the equinox and the new moon tonight. and where we just saw ron, that is the heaviest snow bands. so along the coast, south of atlantic city we re seeing it push into the northwestern part of the philadelphia suburbs, sleet coming in and on the grassy surfaces through new york as well and the leading edge is pushing into new england. this will get out of here by tonight. we ll see some lingering snow tomorrow up through massachusetts and parts of upstate new york. and here is a look at future-cast. because the evening commute is still a tricky one. so you have to be careful. this is heavy, wet snow. and much of the accumulation is on grassy surfaces but we ll see the roads become slick by tonight. so 8:00 on the back eighth of this. but the heaviest snow bands are still over the eastern shores of new jersey and then long island. and that is where we re expecting the most snow.

seeing snow come to an end. if you live in new england today still seeing the snow. blizzard conditions expected across parts of vermont, new hampshire and maine where we expect the wined wind to pick . snow accumulations expected with that. the storm is going to continue to exit today. by late today it will be in new england. take a look at the midwest and the plains. today they are dealing with storms that are producing 3-5 inches of snow and some of the heavier snow bands. that system heads east. parts of west virginia parts of eastern kentucky with more snow late tonight into tomorrow morning. then the system tracks into the northeast. we are talking low snow accumulations generally 1-3 inches. locally higher ams. we are in a snow fatigue already well above average snow already this season. so we are looking at a little more snow this weekend. only bit of good news is that by later next week heather and ainsley we are seeing temperatures warm up and

flight. nbc meteorologist bill karins tracking this crippling storm for us. what s the latest? we get information, two big pieces of information, one, you know, almost midnight, the other close to noon here. i just got the morning piece in. let me tell you some of the trends that we re looking at with this storm. i m talking mostly the snow side of the storm, the ice side is ongoing, the damage is done and will continue to be done. let me give you the timing here for the northeast. as we look at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, this is going to be, probably, if not definitely, the worst morning commute we ve seen from philadelphia to new york city. looks like very heavy snow bands, maybe one to two inches an hour right down i-95. you couldn t ask for much worse than that. it will start snowing in areas like d.c. probably 10:00 p.m. this evening, philadelphia around 2:00 p.m., new york city, 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. then tomorrow afternoon in the
