Criminal Homicide Charges 11:14 pm Authorities have released new details as state police in Bedford County are still searching for Tico Franklin, who’s wanted for criminal homicide in the shooting death of Brian Hunter. Troopers say that Hunter and Franklin knew each other but wouldn’t say why the altercation occurred to begin with. The shooting occurred outside of a house on Mile Level Road just off Route 30 in Snake Spring Township. The vehicle Franklin used to flee the scene was found abandoned on Interstate 70 near Frederick, Maryland. Authorities say he has family ties to Baltimore. Franklin is believed to be in possession of a handgun and body armor.

Bedford County Shooting 12:31 am Details are slowly emerging about a Deadly Shooting Saturday in Bedford County. State Police are still looking for the man they said did it. State Police say they’re still looking for the man they believe shot and killed 62-year-old Brian Hunter. 38-year-old Tico Franklin is now wanted by State Police for Criminal Homicide. That shooting occurred outside of a house on Mile Level Road just off of Route 30 in Snake Spring Township. Trooper Christopher Fox of State Police Troop G tells us Hunter and Franklin knew each other, but would not say why the altercation occurred to begin with.

Police investigate homicide

The Pennsylvania State Police at Bedford are investigating a criminal homicide that occurred Saturday afternoon in Snake Spring Township. State police said they were called to the scene in the township’s Mile Level area, east of Bedford, just before 2 p.m. Saturday and found a Bedford man, Brian Wayne Hunter, 62, had been shot and killed. Following a preliminary investigation, a criminal homicide warrant was issued for Tico Octavious Franklin, 38, of Bedford, according to state police, who said Franklin shot and killed Hunter at a home just off Route 30 and fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, which was later recovered along Interstate 70 in Maryland. Police said Franklin may have fled to the Baltimore, Maryland, area.
