Changing Dixie won t make you happy
It is obvious to anyone reading the Letters to the Editor of The Spectrum that the woke and elitists are opposed to anything that keeps the Dixie name in any name suggestion. If one carries their wokeness and political correctness to its logical extremism, the only names that would seem to be acceptable are PC University (politically correct), or CC University (cancel culture). It would not be appropriate to include any name that included the word “South” or any of its variations because “South” is even more trigger happy than “Dixie.” Perhaps even the name “Utah” should be excluded because it singles out a specific identification, that of the American Indian, so that would be racist (why not, everything else is). Even the name “university” implies elitism, which should be anathema to common folks, and therefore, should not be acceptable. Perhaps
