Its so hard to be away from home in these terrible days. We feel helpless. We want to hug our friends and families and its just physically impossible. I didnt think there was anything more important than to be here today to stand with the hostages from this absolutely barbaric act of terrorism in southern israel. Organizer of the rally filed a lawsuit against the city saying it was unconstitutional to move the rally to emancipation park. The purpose was to protest the removal of a statute of robert e lee. Friday a judge rules the rally could be held in the emancipation park, that denied this large group of people caring tiki torches chanting blood and soil white lives matter and you will not replace us marched across the university of virginia bringing us to saturday when the united the right group and self proclaimed nazis faced off with a group. A state of emergency was issued after violence between the groups broke out. Later, Heather Heyer was killed and 19 others were hurt when a car drove into a crowd of people.
