How CultureCon Founder Imani Ellis Pivoted Through The Pandemic: CultureCon At Home Share to Facebook CultureCon Launched in 2016, The Creative Collective started in Imani Ellis’ one-bedroom Harlem apartment after inviting her friends over to connect and share. This year, as businesses shuttered their in-person operations in response to the Covid-19 Crisis, CultureCon is  expanding  with CultureCon At Home, a virtual, interactive conference for creatives, entrepreneurs and young professionals of color. It’s an extension to the collective’s yearly CultureCon conference that’s typically held in person. “This past year was paved with challenges that have never been seen before in our lifetime,” says Ellis, the founder of CultureCon. “It’s become overwhelmingly clear that people of color have been disproportionately affected and it’s an honor to continue to curate brave and safe spaces like CultureCon, where we can share resources and connect with each other.”
