Scott. Cara lui joins us live from the scene. Reporter well, ken, right now there is a restoration crew working here at the scene. Also, firefighters have been escorting some of the residents back into the burned Apartment Unit so they can retrieve some of their things. Firefighters say when they got here just before 1 30 this afternoon, three Apartment Buildings were on fire. Investigators say they believe the fire started in the corner building here at mcallister and scott, then spread quickly to two other buildings on either side. We spoke with one of the residents home with their grandson at the time. She said firefighters rang her door to let her know she needed to evacuate. I saw flames coming up everywhere up there. They came and knocked my windows out. We were running downstairs. We saw the fire in the den next to the living room. Reporter firefighters say all the residents were able to make it out of their homes unhurt, but one firefighter did have to be taken to the hospital

Scene where firefighters spect much of the night. Reporter they were standing by until just about an hour ago, making sure there were no flareups out here and helping to escort residents back to their apartments to retrieve essential belongings. I saw flames coming up everywhere there. Reporter thick smoke billowing from the fouralarm Apartment Fire could be seen from miles away, but 71 yearold thelma green didnt even know her building was burning until after a firefighter rang they are doorbell, alerting her to get out. Because when we were running downstairs we had seen the fire you know in the den. Reporter she grabbed her greatgrandson and ran outside. I was scared and he was crying and i was crying. It was terrible. Thelmas grandson carl, rushed home as soon as we heard what happened. As long as she is all right, im all right.
