Back here closer to home we have a flood watch in effect for most of the north bay and an advisory for parts of the southeastern portion of santa clara county. Flooding is possible. Mike sugarman, kpix 5. No jail time for three San Francisco students accused of clamping a bike lock around their African American neck. They must complete 30 days of a Work Release Program and Serve Community service. They must also pay a 600 fee. Theyre placed on two years of court probation. The third student received the same sentence, minus the weekend work. The students were all roommates at a campus dorm in 2013, in addition to the bike lock defend, the three candidates who are white are accused of scrawling racist messages, and calling the victim racist names. Theyve been charged with a hate crime, but it was too hard to prove that in court. The incident rocked the community, and led to massive protests at san jose state. Three children have been left orphans by a violent crash on highway 4. The Martinez Family was eastbound in Discovery Bay when their van was hit headon about 11 20 last night.
