Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will host an informational open house meeting to provide the public with an overview of the upcoming MD 231 improvements on May 21, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) in Prince Frederick. CSM is located at 115 J W Williams Road, Prince Frederick.
The proposed improvements aim to enhance safety and traffic flow at Skipjack Road, MD 508 (Adelina Road) and Toye Lane to Prince Frederick Boulevard.

UPDATE February 2024: SHA consultant and contractor crews will be onsite collecting borings and test hole information during the next couple of months. Crews may be working on site in different areas along MD 231. The owner will be notified if a staff member needs to enter or work on private property.
The Calvert County Department of Public Works advises citizens that work will commence on traffic safety improvements to Hallowing Point Park in Prince Frederick located at the main entrance on MD 231 (Hallowing Point Road) on Tuesday, June 27.
