a lot of these members of congress have fired an ar-15 and they ve heard the loud sound of that weapon while firing it. but most of them haven t been on the receiving end of that sound, hearing live rounds being fired at them like these kids have. and so i think we have a generation of kids in this country who, frankly, feel hunted. that this was the 18th school shooting of the year, february 15th. it can happen anyplace, anywhere, any time. it will happen again. we ve seen this for many, many years. and i think that you have a combination of the kids, but also of the parents who feel like every time they drop a kid off at school, they re playing this sick game of russian roulette. and, again, i think it s a much larger question that is being put to the country through the voices of these kids, which is what type of country do we want
91 flights were cancelled. and yesterday it was a travel mess. in detroit, a close call when an inbound flight from buffalo skid off of the runway. and here in chicago, icy commute. and folks trying to keep warm through various methods. i shovelled five time andate and then a shovelled. and we have high temperatures in single digits. i am leaving for texas. hopefully no trouble out of o hare. i will be be able to leave. long underwear. and hot cocoa with bailey s. and keep your head covered. and this storm system moving northeast. and expected to drop more snow
the state of colorado much like they are anywhere else. that s going to be part of the investigation that we heard sheriff robinson talking about. what happened, usually there is something, a precipitating event. apparently it was against this teacher, but what happened in the last 24 to 48 hours that set this kid off. where did he get the gun, was it his, did it belong to a relative, his parents, someone else. these are all questions as part of this investigation. dr. drew brings up a very good point. is there a mental health issue dealing with maybe in the schools. the other thing, too, was this shooter, was this kid, was he, you know, exhibiting any characteristics to his friends, associates and parents. that s why you also heard sheriff robinson saying they re talking to them now to try to find out what happened. most likely serving a search warrant.
